The New England Patriots equaled their top unbeaten stretch since the Brady era as they overcame division opponents the Jets 27-14 in professional football

First-year standout Henderson led the way with three scores as the New England squad notched an eighth consecutive victory for the first time since legendary quarterback Brady's final season with the team in 2019

QB Maye passed for 281 yards and a score, completing 25 out of 34 attempts

Victory extends the New England's advantage at the top of the division as they advanced to nine victories against two losses, with the New York at the foot after slipping to two wins and eight losses

The Jets had gone in front at their home field with QB Fields scoring a short rushing score to finish the Jets' opening drive

But the home team fought back in the second period as Henderson rushed for two seven-yard TDs before the running back caught a pass from Drake Maye at the back of the end zone in the middle of the third quarter to push the score to 21-7

"It was a big time for him rising to the challenge, and it's been fantastic for him to keep earning playing time," Maye said of Henderson. "He wants to be excellent."

Fields found John Metchie toward the end of the third period to narrow the deficit for the visitors but Borregales booted a two field goals in the final period as the home side closed out the victory
