I'll dominate 'credible boxer' Jake Paul - Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

Anthony Joshua is set to fight Jake Paul in an eight round match which will be broadcast live on the streaming platform.

Briton Anthony Joshua stated he will "dominate completely" the American and "defeat" his opponent as the combatants came face-to-face to build hype for the upcoming boxing match.

Ex two time world title holder Joshua battles social media star turned fighter Paul - in what is, by the numbers, a massive uneven pairing - at Miami arena on 19 December.

Boxer's Attitude

"I will damage his features and break his body up. My goal is to show my superiority," the British boxer, 35, stated.

"I plan to overwhelm him. That's the boxer's mindset.

"I will seriously aim to hurt him. That's my goal."

Respectful Interaction

Despite these statements, a relaxed Joshua and internet personality Paul - usually famous for his showmanship - exchanged pleasantries and remained civil with each other.

Paul instead targeted former Joshua's opponent the Cameroonian fighter and called him "a joke" after the Cameroonian rejected a fight offer.

Targeting Fury

Anthony Joshua, at the same time, criticized UK opponent Fury - and declined a £1m bet 'Tyson Fury' states he will put on a Paul win.

"Jake Paul is better than Fury - he showed up," Joshua said.

"I acknowledge that."

Serious Opponent

Despite stating he plans to hurt Jake Paul, Anthony Joshua declined to talk badly about his rival's boxing ability.

"Jake is a legitimate boxer," he said.

Paul's History

Paul - who first rose to fame on the television network - has primarily fought MMA fighters or faded names since turning professional.

He was defeated by British fighter Tommy Fury in 2023.

Financial Attraction

Nevertheless, the novice continues to be one of boxing's largest financial successes, regularly earning massive paydays.

Prediction and Confidence

The 28 year old forecast a stoppage in round four or five and asserted he would prevent the long-awaited match between Joshua and Fury, which is allegedly in the works for two years from now.

"The next fight will be myself against Tyson Fury next year," Jake Paul stated.

Physical Difference

As Joshua and Paul engaged in the usual stare-down, with their height and weight contrast evident, it highlighted just how improbable this complete situation is - and how astonishing it is that the bout is really proceeding.
