News has broken that original stars Jennifer Lawrence and Josh Hutcherson will reprise their iconic roles in the latest chapter of the Hunger Games film series, titled The Hunger Games: Sunrise on the Reaping. Production is currently underway.
A Significant Reunion for Fans
Lawrence and Hutcherson are returning as Katniss Everdeen and Peeta Mellark, the roles they originated. It is believed their cameos will take the form of a brief glimpse ahead, given that the main film series concluded with their characters married and with children.
